St. Croix – The Bureau of Corrections has implemented a rehabilitation program entitled “V.I. Equestrian Therapy” at the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility on St.Croix to teach inmates how to manage anger and other behavioral issues by caring for horses that have been injured, grooming them, and providing training.
Once inmates have completed the course they will receive a certificate that will enable them to work with horses locally, on the mainland or abroad.
